Well, I read through a whole bunch of pages about what Flickr can do, but it seemed way over my head. However, I did post a picture on my blog using the Blogger instructions. Why go to Flickr if we can do it here?

Why go to flickr if we can do it here?
One big reason is that Flickr is web-based. So if you store pictures on Flickr, you can be on any computer, at home, at work, it doesn't matter, and as long as you have Internet access, you can get to your pictures.
There are other reasons people use it related to sharing and categorizing pictures, but I'd say being able to access them from anywhere is a biggie.
Still, it doesn't mean everybody needs it.
